It does not work for clients using the new Foris solution. A workaround is to leave the setting empty, in which case the Desktop fetches the Desktop.RecordOpener.Url setting from the server. 4.2) No duplicate import notification In Lotus Domino, when importing an email that had previously been imported, a notification for duplicate import is not given. This is a known limitation of Lotus Domino. 4.3) Outlook as "Send mail" handler if Automatic import enabled If Outlook is the mail source and automatic import is enabled then Outlook must be registered as the "Send mail" handler (MAPI). If Outlook is not the "Send mail" handler, GoPro Desktop will complain that there is no default mail handler registered. When the user accepts the message, GoPro Desktop crashes. 4.4) Changing server disables automatic email import If the server is changed (new server URL) then automatic email import is disabled. To enable automatic import of email, GoProDesktop must be restarted and then the email settings must be configured. After email settings have changed, Outlook must be restarted. 4.5) Changing server results in unpredictable behaviour If the server is changed (new server URL) and the new server is of a different version, GoPro Desktop may have connection problems. The solution is to restart GoPro Desktop. Logging out and in again is not sufficient. 4.6) XML schema Word templates GoPro.net will deprecate the use of XML schema Word templates in upcoming versions. Older templates using XML schemas have only been usable via the .doc extension but will be removed fully from GoPro.net when support for Office 2007 ceases. We recommend that users migrate XML schema based templates to the new tagged templates. 4.7) Sent to GoPro.net property not added to imported mail GoPro Desktop adds a property to e-mail items to indicate that they have been imported into GoPro.net. If a user has an e-mail attachment open while importing the e-mail to GoPro.net, Outlook will warn the user that changes made to the attachment might get lost. This warning dialog has two buttons marked Yes and No. If the user presses No, the e-mail will not be correctly marked as sent to GoPro.net even though it has been successfully imported. Users should select Yes in the warning dialog to work around this issue. 4.8) Documents not automatically unlocked after editing When a user selects to edit a file, the file is locked to prevent conflicts with other users that might want to edit the file at the same time. Only word (.doc or .docx), excel (.xls or .xlsx) and powerpoint (.ppt or .pptx) files are automatically unlocked once they are closed. For other file types, the user must manually unlock the file when he/she is no longer using it. 4.9) Toolbar not removed from Office applications After GoPro Desktop is removed, the GoPro.net toolbar may still appear in Microsoft Office Applications. This can be fixed by selecting View - Toolbars - Customize..., selecting the GoPro.net toolbar and clicking on the Delete button. 4.10) Empty toolbars in Outlook items Empty GoPro.net toolbars may appear in some Microsoft Outlook items like Contact and Appointment. 4.11) Restart after installation or upgrade A computer may have to be restarted after GoPro Desktop has been installed on it. Otherwise GoPro Desktop may not function correctly. 4.12) Error when Outlook is not default mail client Errors may occur if GoPro Desktop is used with Microsoft Outlook selected as the mail source when Microsoft Outlook is not the default mail client on the computer. The resolution is to set Microsoft Outlook as the default mail client either from the options in Microsoft Outlook itself, or from the options in Microsoft Internet Explorer. 4.13) Title-bar drawing issue in main window There's a rendering issue with the Ribbon control used in the main GoPro Desktop window that sometimes causes the title-bar of the underlying window to be visible on Windows 7 with Aero disabled. 4.14) New e-mail window remains open after the Send Some users may experience a bug in Outlook that results in the new e-mail window staying open after clicking on the Send button. Regardless, the e-mail message is sent. Usually installing the latest product updates from Microsoft solves this issue. If this is not enough, the hotfix available at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957692 fixes it (although not explicitly stated in the article). 4.15) Not possible to open a folder for viewing If a user right-clicks on a folder in the Destination section of the GoPro Desktop main window and selects to view it, an error message will be displayed that indicates that the selected item cannot be found. 4.16) Folder refresh in Outlook 2010 after dropping onto Sidebar There is a bug in Outlook 2010 which affects so called `custom task panes' when an item, such as an e-mail, is dragged over it. After this is done, Outlook will go into a state where the reading pane is no longer updated when a new e-mail is selected. This bug is triggered when e-mail is dropped onto the GoPro Sidebar since it is a custom task pane. To work around this issue, the GoPro Sidebar will refresh the current folder/view in Outlook to return it to a normal state. This results in a noticeable flicker and may affect the scroll position. 4.17) Outlook Inspector window locks up When opening a new window in Outlook (new email, new appointment,...) it can happen that the window "locks up" and it is not possible to enter information. A workaround to unlock the window is to go back to the GoPro Sidebar and perform search. When the search is finished, the new window is no longer locked up. 4.18) Forwarded emails not automatically imported Forwarding email in GoPro with Outlook closed and Oulook needs to be configured to display reply and format in new window. It seems that the forward window is shown and as soon as the message is sent window is closed Outlook shuts down and dose not get the chance to handle the onSent event(sometimes) to import the email into GoPro. 4.19) MAPI_E_INTERFACE_NOT_SUPPORTED errors GoPro Desktop uses Outlook Redemption (http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/home.htm) to access outlook objects. Some updates to Windows have been known to wipe out certain MAPI registry keys that Outlook Redemption depends on. If that happens the error looks something like this : "IUknown.QueryInterface(....): MAPI_E_INTERFACE_NOT_SUPPORTED". There are two possible solutions: a) Reinstall Outlook b) Download a registry fix from Outlook Redemption, here : from http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/Outlook_2013_C2R_fix.ZIP Unzip the file and use the information in the "readme.txt" file to select the correct file .reg file to import NOTE that the registry fix is both for Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 5) **** LEGAL ISSUES **** See the folder License for information on licenses for third party software used by GoPr Desktop and Sidebar.
